foodpanda partners RedMart for cross-platform promotions

foodpanda redmartfoodpanda, an online delivery platform in Singapore has announced a partnership with online grocery delivery service RedMart.

foodpanda and RedMart are partnering to gain access to each other’s platform. The partnership with see both companies pursuing joint marketing, including advertising activities and exclusive deals for both customer sides.

As part of the campaign, foodpanda offers an exclusive S$10 (US$8.14) cash-back discount for first time RedMart customers (code: PANDAREDPR) on www.foodpanda.sg. Similarly, foodpanda customers can get 10 percent discount on their first purchase at RedMart (code: RMFP).

While the promotion is only available to customers in Singapore, foodpanda head of operations and marketing Chinmay Malaviya said that they are happy to extend the promotion to regional countries “once Redmart opens into other Asian countries.”

Kiren Tanna, CEO Asia at foodpanda expressed optimism with this partnership. “Both companies are leaders in their areas and share a similar target market and a strong culture for customer service and value. With this partnership, we aim to provide the best service, choices, offers and create even more value for our customers. This will help us further firm up our leadership position in Singapore.”

Roger Egan, CEO of RedMart, added: “Both RedMart and foodpanda have the same focus – making people’s lives easier by offering great deals on food and related items with the convenience of online ordering and delivery.  This is a natural partnership and we are confident that all of our respective customers will benefit from us working together.”

foodpanda, together with its affiliated brand hellofood, is the leading group of online food ordering platforms active in 27 countries, with a reach of more than three billion people. It helps restaurants to increase sales through online and mobile platforms and provides them with constantly evolving technology and analytics. For consumers, foodpanda offers an online marketplace with widest gastronomic range, including salads, pizza, burger and sushi. Consumers choose their favorite meal on the platform or via app, processing the order through the restaurant, which then delivers the meal to the customer’s doorstep.

foodpanda Singapore currently provides food delivery services for over 200 restaurants in Singapore. Earlier last week, foodpanda also announced that they have received US$20 million in funding from investors including AB Kinnevik and Phenomen Ventures. Other than RedMart, foodpanda recently also partnered with Singapore based Perx for cross platform promotions.
