Evernote appEvernote has updated its Food app for Android devices, making it easier to add user customizations and annotations to food-related clippings.

Evernote is the app for remembering everything, whether these are clips from the web or mobile sites. With social media users finding food a favorite topic on their photo sharing activities, Evernote has released an update for its Evernote Food for Android.

The Android app now has an extended database feature, which lets users expand on the database, adding in their own customizations. The updated key functions include: explore recipes, my cookbook, restaurants, my meals and a clip function.

The My Cookbook function can be used to photo-log food and its preparation. This can include shopping for ingredients, preparation, plating and presentation, and even a review of the meal afterwards. This enables hobbyist chefs and food lovers to compare their cooking experiences with others on their clipped recipes.

With this update, the Restaurants search function has also been expanded, letting users check in through Foursquare. Users can then tag and annotate their eating experiences at these establishments.

Evernote Food 2.0 is a free download from Google Play. An iOS version is also available for iPhone and iPad users.
